JOB SUMMARY

Zemax is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to develop and implement the company's Master Data Management (MDM) strategy, where MDM combines the software tools, data collection processes, and IT technology for business-wide coordination of data to increase the accuracy and consistency of data extracted from across the company.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work with key stakeholders to define business requirements for data management, assess the current situation, and perform a gap analysis. In doing so, they will establish standards and a governance model, identify needs for data integration and migration across various information repositories, lead the clean up of the company's existing dataset, and assess and improve upon the existing business intelligence/reporting framework. The Senior Business Analyst will select and manage specialist partners as needed to assist with implementation of the MDM strategy, and will train all employees on the implemented solution.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will report to the Chief Technology Officer. Candidates for this role must be eligible to work in the US, and may be work from anywhere in the US (preferably within WA state).

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical field
  • 4-6 years of business systems and customer data management experience, including process and system design, data architecture and business analytics
  • Current Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI administrator certification or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with Azure SQL strongly preferred
  • Bonus points for having worked with Application Integration Platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Boomi), other BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Domo), Financial applications, (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics GP, Workday Adaptive Insights), and HR applications (e.g. Bamboo, ADP, Workday)

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with business units to identify system needs, gather requirements, assist with prioritization, change management and successful project delivery
  • Look at the business applications strategically and advise stakeholders on ways to improve their processes
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to convert business requirements into functional and technical designs
  • Perform project leadership functions, such as preparing project plans, monitoring, and reporting on project progress, highlighting risks against the plan and desired solution
  • Establish the strategy and governance of CRM data quality; implement and manage a Master Data Management (MDM) program across the company
  • Support the development of business metrics and KPIs, and facilitate their successful orchestration across the business applications landscape

Tactical Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and enhance Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and other business applications
  • Support internal staff in self-service report creation using Power BI and other business applications
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with internal teams through documentation, training, and enablement activities
