As the year end approaches, I have been reflecting upon the growing role of optics and photonics in the world around us. It is truly inspiring to see the importance of optics and photonics in a wide range of industries, from life sciences to manufacturing, aerospace and defense to consumer electronics and entertainment. The optical industry continues to drive innovation and I am honored and grateful to be a part of it.
