This month meet Senior Optical Engineer II Michael Cheng, an anime-loving, problem-solving member of our Taiwan team.

1. Briefly describe what you do all day.
   My work recently has focused on exploring physical optics models and algorithms and making simple prototypes for users. I also help by taking some difficult cases from other optical engineers.

2. What’s the best thing about your job?
   I like my current job because I can discover a wide range of optics knowledge, which means I’m never bored. And I learn more about the industry by helping to solve tough questions from users.

3. What's the best thing about Zemax?
   Zemax is an international company, so it’s fun to work with people from all over the world.

4. What does your office space look like?
   I work in a small office located in Taiwan. Our team is small, but everyone is excellent.

5. What's been one of your proudest moments working at Zemax?
   Every time I solved a difficult question and receive thank you mail from a user.

6. What do you like to do when you're not at the office? 
   I like to read comics and novels and watch anime in my leisure time.

7. How would you most like to time travel?
   Portal

8. If you could pick one superpower, what would it be?
   That must be teleportation.

   Keep digging for the details.
