Our courses have been organized into a series of learning plans to offer the most in-depth Zemax optical design software training availabe. A quick look through these learning plans demonstrates the breadth of offerings over a wide selection of topics and tools. 

With access to the same great content as our classroom training, you learn the most useful optical design techniques at your own pace from the comfort of your own home or office.

Optical System Design Learning Plan - This plan provides all necessary knowledge to get you up and running with OpticStudio sequential mode. You will learn how to model, analyse, optimize and tolerance various optical systems, while getting used to the different tools and features included in OpticStudio. Includes twelve courses.

Illumination & Stray Light Learning Plan - Using the non-sequential mode of Zemax OpticStudio, you'll discover how to design illumination systems and run stray light analyses. Includes nine courses.

Laser & Fiber Learning Plan - This learning plan reviews different methods to simulate lasers and fibers using the sequential mode of OpticStudio. Includes four courses.

Aspheres & Freeforms Learning Plan - Optical components with shapes that are not bound by rotational symmetry and support higher-order curves and localized profiles offer unique design challenges. In this advanced course, you'll discover how to design using them. Includes five courses.

Tolerancing Learning Plan - Prepare for a deep dive into tolerancing in Zemax OpticStudio provided by the Tolerancing Learning Plan! Includes five courses.

All our online courses provide you with the most useful optical design techniques. All you need is an OpticStudio Premium License (monthly licenses available for purchase) and an internet connection to get you started. 

Group Training Options

Boost your engineering team’s productivity and empower your team with a Zemax group training course. We have two options available to meet your team’s training needs.

Private Courses
If your organization has multiple individuals to train, customized private training is an economical option at a flat fee per day. Courses are taught by Zemax's experienced optical engineers using the most current version of Zemax software. With private training, you can customize your content selection from across our library of training topics.

Blended Courses
Ensure that your group has mastered the concepts from their online self-paced training by getting live guidance from a Zemax expert in a group session. The structure of this option combines our self-paced on-line courses with up to 2 hours of live instructor-led question and answer time. This approach allows your team to ask questions about the material, step through any example system in which the expected outcome was not achieved, receive help from the instructor to identify errors and learn from the questions and answers raised by other team members.

Certification

Once you have completed a learning plan, we will email you a certificate of completion, as well as a LinkedIn certificate link. CPD credits are also available for select courses.
