Neil Barrett
Neil Barrett is General Manager of Optima Research, the European distributor of ZEMAX. He gives ZEMAX technical support to European customers and has taught ZEMAX courses to hundreds of customers throughout Europe.
Neil has a Masters in Optics and Photonics and DIC in Physics from Imperial College London and has previously worked at Philips Research Laboratories (Redhill) and Sharp Laboratories of Europe (Oxford).

One of the many benefits of ZPL macros is that they can be written in any text editor, such as Windows' own Notepad. However, macros are often a lot easier to read, understand and debug when the macro commands are highlighted, and programmer's text editors provide more powerful text editing features.
