Using the Seq2ZMX Converter
In your main ZEMAX directory is a folder called “Seq2ZMX,” which contains a simple utility for converting CodeV™ sequence files to ZEMAX lens files.
Please note that this utility is provided as is without warranty either expressed or implied. This utility was designed to convert simple Code V version 8.1 sequence files to ZEMAX lens files. Note that not all Code V commands are supported and complex systems will most likely require additional editing within ZEMAX.
For a list of the supported commands for the Seq2ZMX converter, please refer to the seq2ZMX.txt file in the Seq2ZMX folder.
The utility is a DOS based program, and can be run from the Command Prompt in Windows XP. From the Windows Start menu, select “All Programs” > “Accessories” > “Command Prompt.”

In the Command Prompt window, change the directory to the location of your seq2zmx folder. You may execute the seq2zmx utility to first print the disclaimer and required syntax. You may use the following screen capture as a guide:
Note that the SEQ files to be converted must reside in your Seq2ZMX folder, which is the same directory to which the converted files will be saved. Any unconverted commands can be stored in a log file, whose name is user-definable.
It is very important that you carefully check over the converted file within ZEMAX. Even if nothing is reported in the log file, it is the responsibility of the designer to ensure that the system has been adequately modeled in ZEMAX.

Version 8.1 of Code V is very old (5 years?). As of mid-2005, the current version was 9.60.
