How to Log Network Key Usage
Question: With the network key I can see who is using a ZEMAX license at any one time using a browser. Can I write this data to a log file for subsequent analysis?
To write out network key usage data, follow this procedure.
1. On the keyserver machine, go to the installation folder for the Sentinel Key Server software. On English versions of Windows, the default location is:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\SafeNet Sentinel\Sentinel Keys Server
2. Open the file sntlconfigsrvr.xml in Notepad. There are two log files you can create, one to log errors, and the other to log usage. We want this second one. Edit the LogClientRequestResponse section as follows:
and re-save the file.
3. In Control Panel...Administrative Tools...Services, restart the Sentinel Keyserver service:
